Pordenone’s Hospital “Santa Maria degli Angeli” climbs the ranks of healthcare facilities, entrusting Oppent with its transport logistic optimization. The hospital will be equipped with Hospital Pneumatic Tube System for automated transport of test tubes, blood bags, drugs and medical reports.
The installation of the Pordenone hospital has an 800 meters long pipe network (ISO 160 diameter), connecting the hospital stay- and emergency areas with the analysis laboratory. There are 15 stations with a loading capacity of 3,5 kg, where materials are inserted into sealed carriers that travel at controlled speeds between 3 and 7 m/s.
The Phlebotomy ward, analytic laboratory and immune-haematology are equipped with 5 multiple sending and 5 multiple receiving stations. These are special stations designed to manage higher frequency dispatches typically generated from such wards. The stations can send and receive up to 3 carriers at a time, with consequent advantages in terms of efficiency: Turn Around Time is reduced up to 30%.
