Manage the transport of meals, linen, waste, drugs and warehouse products in a very large hospital space, optimising delivery times and guaranteeing high levels of precision and safety at all times.
The University Healthcare Complex of Salamanca (Spain) is a centre of excellence for specialist healthcare assistance and teaching and research activities in the autonomous community of Castilla y León. Oppent contributes to the automation of the hospital with a fleet of 14 ECART model 2. Based on assessments of autonomy, service demand and logistical flows, it was decided that 12 was the minimum number of vehicles required to guarantee effective levels of automation in the facility. However, the Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca requested the inclusion of 2 extra vehicles, providing an extra safety net and making it possible to share the workload across more logistical units, increasing productivity and reducing the wear and tear of the machines, and therefore also of the facility.
