With production levels on the rise, it is necessary to automate the movement of warehouse pallets to the yoghurt and buttermilk production areas and vice versa.
Founded in 1963 and owners of one of the biggest Turkish groups, SEK operates with the mission of being a point of reference in the Turkish milk and cheese sector, its range of products including pasteurised milk, yoghurt, butter and various types of cheese. The company guarantees its customers excellent levels of quality, from production - with an innovative factory attentive to the most stringent food safety and production standards - to the dining tables of consumers. The chosen technical solution was to equip the factory with an innovative automation system that manages special trolleys, introduced to manage the lots of pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and vice versa. The vehicle designed ad hoc has a 1657x602 mm platform, perfectly bidirectional kinematics implemented on a AISI304 steel chassis and PL-D safety laser sensors, able to generate horizontal and vertical observation plans. These advanced safety devices enable the vehicles to be modulated according to the speed and layout of the environment in which they are used, meeting the highest man-machine safety standards, permitting travel in natural navigation mode. The Oppent mobile robots are able to operate in variable contexts, covering a distance of around 10 km a day, working in 8-hour shifts for 5 days a week and carrying out 35 missions a day.
