Two important hospital facilities have been added to Oppent’s prestigious customer references, bringing its total figure up to 85 utilities. Bologna’s “Maggiore” Hospital and the new hospital in Garbagnate Milanese (Milan) both opted for Oppent’s Hospital Pneumatic Tube System for the light transport of goods inside their facilities.
The public tender for a pneumatic delivery system for the “Carlo Alberto Pizzardi” hospital, held by the USL (local health unit) of the city of Bologna, was won by Oppent whose success was determined by the numerous improvements offered.
Oppent’s solution offers the best interpretation of the transport needs of the hospital, offering a pipeline network of 46 stations and 5 lines to the total of 2,2 km of pipes, which will connect its three towers and reduce drastically transportation times. The Oppent system will provide urgent transport of medical laboratory samples at a speed 69% faster than what the USL demands.
Reduced transport times are also brought to the new hospital in Garbagnate Milanese, where Oppent will install its successful pneumatic transport system, made up of 27 bidirectional stations. Two lines and some 1,2 km of pipes will be made functional in this modern hospital facility by next spring, when the system is planned to be inaugurated.
