LINEN & WASTE SYSTEM
The system consists of loading stations for the disposal of materials and a pipe network for automatic transport to a central collection point. Medical waste and dirty laundry travel in separate pipes from each department/floor to the central collection, located in a peripheral area of the hospital.
The loading stations are located so as to minimize manual handling, ensuring a highly hygienic conditions for patients and personnel. The cleaning staff are exempt from heavy duties such as lifting weights: this reduces the risk of spreading infections or accident as contact with waste and dirty linen is kept to a minimum.
