OPPENT AUTOMATES TRANSPORT OF PRODUCTION SAMPLES, OPTIMIZING HANDLING AND DECISION MAKING TIMES.
Michelin is a world leading supplier of tires. Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, it was founded in 1889 by brothers André and Edouard Michelin. The company now has about 70 factories which produce 180 million tires every year and it has branches in more than 170 countries worldwide. On the initiative of the engineer Robert Daubrée, the Cuneo factory was established in 1961 and currently has about 2,100 employees.
The transport of tire samples from the production area to the laboratory relies on Oppent automated transport systems: Industrial Pneumatic Tube System enables quick handling of the samples, optimizing internal transport times.
