Inaugurated in 2010, the hospital is situated on an area of 26,416 square meters and is an advanced centre in the Spanish Health System. The facility, designed to respond to high standards of efficiency and sustainability, has 478 beds, 12 operating rooms equipped with the best technology, 22 intensive care units and 60 more units for emergencies. Four new systems contribute to improving logistics efficiency of the facility. Automated Guide Vehicle is the system assigned to the transport of heavy loads: thanks to the self-guided vehicles, more than 500 carts are moved each day, managing transports for catering, laundry, waste, pharmacy and general supplies.
